How Frequently Can I Use This Line?

This line can be used every wash day. However, to maintain ideal protein levels, alternate our Protein Reset Line with a protein-rich line like our Freshening or Collagen Lines.

How to Use

Wet your hair and rub a quarter-sized amount of shampoo between your palms. Apply to the scalp and work through the roots and length of hair, massaging thoroughly. Rinse and repeat if needed.


Follow with the Protein Reset Conditioner on wet and wrung hair, focusing on the tips. Let it act for 5 minutes, then rinse and style as usual.


For deep conditioning, use the Protein Reset Mask once a week instead of the conditioner or if you have very dry or coarse hair that needs more moisture, use the mask and then follow with the conditioner after rinsing.

FAQs

How do I know I have protein overload?

If you use protein-rich products frequently such as products containing hydrolyzed keratin, soy, wheat, oat, vegetable protein and others, your hair can accumulate protein and cause protein build-up. Too much protein can absorb the moisture in your hair and cause it to become limp, heavy, brittle, dry, stringy and even prone to breakage. If you notice any of these signs, it could mean your hair needs a protein reset.

Is this a clarifying line?

No, clarifying products promote a deep cleanse to remove impurities and should be used infrequently to prevent dryness. The Protein Reset line can be used weekly as it provides a mild cleanse and adds back moisture that ends up being absorbed when there's a protein overload.

Is this line for curlies only?

Although formulated with curly-approved ingredients, this line is suitable for all hair types. It is especially good for low-porosity hair.

Is this line color-safe?

Yes, this line is safe for color-treated hair.

Is this line CGM-approved?

Yes, this line is formulated with CGM-approved and loved ingredients such as Marshmallow Root and Pure Honey Extract.

Fav mask

I recently started using the Protein reset line & am incredibly pleased. But the hair mask is my favorite of them all so I had to come write a review! This set does what it is intended to do! The mask gives my hair a enhanced shine & It feels silky smooth. I use it every few days ( Twice weekly ), for about 15 minutes. I can always tell when Ive gone fol long because my hair will tell me. Absolutely love this stuff! Cant be without it.
